JR Indoor Electric Festival / Cox Micro Warbird Stock Race Sponsored By: Aircraft Requirements 1. Any stock Cox Micro Warbird is acceptable.
2. Box Stock motors only, 15000 rpm max. 3. Only modifications allowed period are: A. adding a JST connecter between the switch board and the battery. B. an access hatch can be made. C. the color should be changed to make each a/c highly visible, plus
adding a race number at least 1.5 inches high on the top and bottom
of the wing, and 1 inch high on the fuselage.
Race set-up 1. Pilots may use the battery of their choice provided the maximum voltage
does not exceed 8.4 volts. A connector or tap must be accessible to verify
maximum voltage. Voltage will be checked in each racing aircraft, prior to
its assigned heat race.
2. There will be two pylons. Pilots will stand at the start - finish line that is
mid way between the pylons, a handler will launch the a/c from the left
side of the start - finish line and the race is on.
3. Two judges will be at each pylon watching for cuts. Because of the short
duration of the race, any cut puts you out of the race, there will not be
any timers.
4. There will be four judges at the start - finish line to determine the
winner of each heat.
5. The heat winners will fly off in the final race. Judges will determine all final
positions.
